I forgot that just before we leaved for sihanoukville, we did some tourism in phnom penh.
There is 3 place to go in phnom penh : the king palace, the national museum and the killing field museum.
The first one is really huge ( 1600 room ) and it was already too late to enjoy it correctly. The third one is about the red khmer massacre, and it was not really what we was searching for. So we went to the national musem.
The place cost 3$ for a foreigner ( everybody say 6$ on internet, so i don't know if they cut the price of if she liked me ^^ ) and is free for khmer people.
There is a lot ( almost only that ) of statue and engraved stone of diferent period. Many of them are unknow period, and that strange, can't they date them with carbon 14?
In the centre of the museum there is an outside garden with pools who's very beautiful. The pink stone and architecture of the building is really nice.
As the king palace is just beside of the national museum, we went in front of, where there isa big garden, with a very nice view of the palace entrance on one side, and of the mekhong pavilion on the other side.
Finaly as the sun sets, we followed the mekhong to reach one of the night life place of phnom penh : the sisowath quay, where bar, restaurant and night club are full.
